Wet weather for Virginia on Sunday and Monday

Quick update on the forecast for Memorial Day weekend.

It looks like rain for much of Virginia will hold off until late Saturday or even Sunday, with high pressure over New England making it difficult for this coastal low pressure system to move north until then. Showers will overspread Virginia on Sunday, and possibly continue into Monday as well, though more scattered in nature at that point. Right now, it doesn’t appear that D.C. and Baltimore are going to get in on much of this rain, so not an issue for folks in that part of the region. But Saturday and Sunday certainly won’t be favorable for heading to the beach.
