Weak storm system means light snow amounts Monday/Tuesday

Just a quick update on the snow potential for Monday into Tuesday. The short of it is, this won’t be a big deal…snow amounts will be pretty light, and even in far northern Virginia, we’re only talking 2 to 3” at most.

The cold air will be in place, but the storm system itself will be rather weak. The bigger story will be the cold air in place after this system departs. Temperatures will dip to near the single digits in parts of the valley, and mid teens even around Richmond Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
