Virginia will miss out on rains from Hurricane Idalia; temperatures staying comfortable

Just a quick update to say that it does not look likely that Virginia will see much, if any, rains from the remnants of Hurricane Idalia late week. Friday will likely be breezy, especially over southeastern Virginia (VA Beach, Hampton Roads, Norfolk, etc.). Temperatures will hold at comfortable levels under partly to mostly sunny skies. As far as Labor Day weekend, weather should clear out along coastal Virginia and North Carolina, though there may still be some rough surf at times. We’ll see mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 80s/low 90s Saturday to Monday.
