Toasty weekend; storm chances remain slim
After two relatively “cooler” days, mid 90s return Saturday and Sunday, with sunny skies continuing and only a slight chance of a spotty late-day storm both days. Early next week will start off on another brief cool note (80s) before 90s return on Tuesday. Rain chances may improve a bit next week but still won’t be enough to put a real dent in our drought.
Meanwhile, the tropics are starting to turn more active with a tropical depression likely to form soon as it crosses the lower Atlantic, and is forecast to become a major hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico by next weekend.
