Temperatures "just right" this week; rainy Wednesday/Thursday

Quick update on this week’s rain: Tuesday is looking cloudy but dry except for localities along the state line with North Carolina (Emporia, South Hill, Waverly, etc.). Most of Wednesday should be dry as well, but showers will increase from south and southeast to north and northwest in the afternoon and evening, become widespread overnight and into Thursday morning, tapering off by Thursday afternoon/evening.

Morning temperatures won’t be as chilly this week, generally holding in the mid 40s, while highs stay steady in the mid to upper 50s.
