Storms take a break after today but return for the weekend

A few scattered storms will be possible again this afternoon/evening, mostly across northern Virginia, then we’ll take a brief break from storms until Friday under mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper 80s. Scattered afternoon and evening storms return to our area Friday and continue through the upcoming weekend.
