Some winter weather to kick off December?

More typical late fall/early winter temperatures return to our area Thursday, and sticking around through the weekend into early next week. Highs will top out in the 40s with lows dipping into the low 30s, and some 20s on Friday night.

I’m keeping an eye on Tuesday, December 2nd for the possibility of our first wintry precip in parts of the state…so far looking like a freezing rain event across much of the Shenandoah Valley Monday night into Tuesday morning. (Cold rain for areas east of the mountains). Too soon to say how much ice accumulation may happen but I’ll have addition updates as we get closer.
