Showers late Sunday; cooler start to next week

Toasty temperatures will continue through the weekend ahead of a cold front that will spark another line of showers and storms moving through Sunday evening, some of which could be strong. Cooler air will arrive on Monday with low 50s in the morning (40s in the Valley) and mid 60s in the afternoon (50s over western Virginia and Maryland) with lower dew points. Dry weather resumes this week with our next chance for showers/storms not arriving until Friday afternoon and Saturday.
