Showers decrease in coverage into the weekend

Scattered showers will remain with us through Saturday, though much more isolated by that point. Temperatures will also steadily climb back into the 80s this weekend/early next week as this low pressure system departs, bringing more sun back to our area. Next week, we’ll mainly see just our usual summertime late afternoon “pop up” storms.

Meanwhile, in the tropics, we have Tropical Storm Bret, but that won’t be of any concern to us as he’ll stay well to the south of Cuba. Another system is behind Bret and that one could bear closer watching next week.
