Remnants of Debby to bring more soaking rains late week (and flooding)

The new week will start out with temperatures about normal, in the low 90s, then clouds quickly increase mid-week ahead of the remnants of Hurricane Debby, making landfall over the “big bend” region of western Florida. These will bring soaking rains to most of the state, on the order of 3-5 inches by Saturday evening, most of this rain occurring Thursday and Friday. Temperatures from Wednesday on will only reach the low 80s, and western portions of the state may not get above the upper 70s. Pockets of flash flooding will be a concern late week, but I’m not worried about strong winds.
