The rain train keeps on chugging!

Our very wet winter will continue unabated with another potent storm system lined up for Tuesday. This one will bring primarily rain to all of Virginia…though may start out briefly as some snow or mix in the valley. Just about everyone will pick up a good 2 to 3 inches, and on top of that, wind gusts of 50 to 60 mph. With the ground already soggy from Saturday’s precipitation, this will mean a high likelihood of downed trees/limbs and consequently power outages. I strongly suggest folks bring in or secure outdoor toys, furniture, yard tools, etc. Despite the strong front coming through, temperatures behind it won’t be terribly cold…about normal for this year with 30s for lows and mid/upper 40s for highs.

Things will quiet down Wednesday to the first half of Friday, then another front arrives with more showers for Friday evening into Saturday.
