Rain continues most of the day; another round on Sunday

Showers will stick with us today through at least mid-afternoon, ending around 2pm for the Richmond area but lasting a few hours more for the northern neck to D.C. For Richmond and areas south, you might see a few scattered thunderstorms this evening but severe weather is not expected. All told, generally an inch to an inch and a half of rain is expected, with locally higher amounts west along the Blue Ridge.

A nice Saturday is on tap with partly to mostly sunny skies and highs in the 60s, then clouds hurry back in as another storm system moves northeast through our area on Sunday with another round of showers. Dry weather returns Monday, and relatively cool temperatures will hang around most likely through the first two weeks of May.
