Rain chances remain minimal as an mild pattern intensifies

Chilly mornings will continue, but afternoon temperatures will steadily warm into the mid/upper 50s by Thursday. From this weekend on, an unusually mild pattern will take hold over the eastern U.S. bringing 60s and 70s to the Mid-Atlantic and southeast, continuing through the rest of the month and into early March. An approaching cold front will bring a few spotty, light showers to our area on Friday but they won’t amount to much more than a tenth of an inch.
