Quiet but cold week ahead; rain returns Sunday

High pressure sliding in behind Sunday’s cold front will mean mostly sunny skies this week, but also much colder temperatures (mid 20s in the morning, upper 40s/low 50s in the afternoon). It looks like our next storm system arrives Sunday with another round of wind and showers, but less of a severe weather threat this time.

Looking ahead to Christmas (and granted this is still a ways out so very much subject to change), the GFS model is showing scattered showers in the area both Sunday and Monday, possibly lingering into Tuesday, but with mild temperatures, in the mid/upper 50s.
