Only a minor snow this weekend for Richmond

Snow amounts for Richmond for this upcoming weekend continue to drop (now sitting at 1-3”), as models keep shifting the track of this next storm system further south and southeast. Some light snow is possible Saturday afternoon but it won’t amount to much. Areas from Virginia Beach to Suffolk will get hammered with 6-10 inches with wind gusts to 55 mph. Winds could also gust to 40 mph further inland, especially Saturday night and Sunday.

Frigid temperatures and wind chills will stick around through Sunday, before we finally get above freezing next week. Unfortunately, more winter weather is possible later next week but more on that on Sunday or Monday.
