Minor snow possible Wednesday

Just a quick update to mention that tonight’s short-range model runs have started showing a more robust storm system moving our way and arriving late Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. This will not be a major winter storm like what we just saw. This system looks like it’ll bring some light snow accumulations to parts of central and eastern Virginia during the day Wednesday, mostly in the afternoon and evening. There’s some variance from model to model but generally about a dusting to 1” in most places. Thankfully, temperatures will largely stay above freezing the rest of the week, under mostly sunny skies aside from Wednesday, so that will help with melting.

I’m not seeing any additional winter weather headed our way for the next two weeks, and I still anticipate milder temperatures arriving mid to late month.
