Minimal rain chances Thursday/Friday but turning cooler

Temperatures will cool a bit after today (Monday) with highs in the mid 80s through Thursday, with a few very scattered storms possible Thursday evening and again Friday evening, otherwise, sparse rain chances. Temperatures will spike again Friday into the low to mid 90s, then a stronger front sweeps through ushering in much drier air and temperatures in the upper 70s/low 80s for the second half of the weekend into much of next week.

Meanwhile, the tropics are becoming more active with two named storms and two systems that will likely become tropical storms soon, but none of these will affect our weather. A system in the Gulf will become a tropical storm soon and bring heavy rain and moderately gusty winds to areas of Texas just south of Corpus Christi.
