Finally drying out; harsh cold staying away for now

After a relentless parade of rain storms, we’ll finally enter a quieter pattern for the next two weeks, with temperatures normal for this time of year (40s for highs, low 30s for lows). There’s a very slight chance for a few scattered showers on Wednesday; otherwise, the only other system I’m watching will be sliding east across the deep south early next week. The current track keeps it south of us, in the Carolinas, but if it were to track further north, there’s the potential for another round of winter precip in some part of Virginia. But we have plenty of time to see how that unfolds.
