Dry week ahead, steady, mild temperatures; coastal rains next weekend?

Sun returns Monday after today’s rain, with temperatures holding steady in the upper 70s and low 80s during the day, and low 50s to low 60s (west to east) at night for this upcoming week. Next weekend, forecast models show a low pressure system moving up the coast, which will likely bring a good soaking rain to areas east of interstate 95 from North Carolina to Delaware, as much as 2 to 3 inches. Less certain right now is the extent of that rainfall west of I-95. Right now looks like about an inch (give or take) in the Richmond area, and lesser amounts further west. So we’ll have to see how that evolves over the coming week.

Looking further ahead, we’ll likely be easing into the rest of fall; I’m not seeing any chilly temperatures just yet, but also not seeing any late heat waves either. Lot of mid 70s for highs and low/mid 60s for lows through the rest of September.
