Dry weather continues, and so does the wildfire smoke

Unfortunately, we’ll have to continue to deal with intrusions of smoke from wildfires in Quebec for at least another few days. The HRRR model shows another round of heavy smoke moving south into our area overnight tonight and through much of Wednesday morning and early afternoon, lessening a bit later in the day. An Air Quality Alert (code orange: sensitive groups) is in effect through midnight Wednesday.

As far as rain goes, a few spotty showers/storms are possible Wednesday afternoon, mostly west of Richmond. Otherwise, our next chance for rain won’t arrive until next Monday afternoon.
