Drought likely to persist and worsen as rain chances remain slim

I’m still not seeing any significant chances for rain in our region until at least the 22nd, and even then, those showers don’t look like they will put a dent in our developing drought conditions. Temperatures will generally hold steady in the upper 70s and low 80s until then. The tropics remain quiet, unusual as we head towards the peak of the season.
