Delightfully "cool" weather continues through midweek

We’ll enjoy a nice break from typical mid-summer heat for much of this week, along with lower humidity and only sparse thunderstorm chances. Overnight lows may actually run a bit chilly across western areas of Virginia (Charlottesville into the valley) with some upper 50s possible! These cooler temperatures will be with us through Thursday before we creep back up towards 90.

However, the same northwesterly wind flow bringing us the milder temperatures might also be bringing us another round of wildfire smoke from Canada. Doesn’t look like code orange or higher like we saw back in late June but enough to be noticeable and maybe problematic for those with sensitivities.
