Cold front to bring storms Saturday afternoon, sweep away toasty temperatures

80s and low 90s will stick around one more day, before a strong cold front sweeps through our area Saturday afternoon with a line of showers and storms between 3 and 6pm. Some storms could be strong with gusty winds and hail. Rain totals will likely fall just short of an inch. After the front passes, temperatures will cool into the 60s for highs and mid/upper 40s for lows in the Richmond area and along/east of 95, with some low 40s and a few pockets of upper 30s to our west in the Shenandoah Valley and far western Maryland. After Saturday, our next chance for rain doesn’t arrive until later next week.
