Canadian smoke returns; cooler temps next weekend

Smoke from the Canadian wildfires is working its way south and southeast again, so expect poor air quality at times over the next few days at least. I’d recommend wearing a N95 or KN95 mask if you have to be outside for any length of time. Rain chances will be sparse over the next 6-10 days but thankfully temperatures will pull back some into the mid/upper 80s next weekend and into the first half of the following week.

All quiet in the tropics for now, with large amounts of Saharan dust coming off Africa limiting tropical development along with pockets of dry air aloft.
