Another severe storm risk Tuesday

The Storm Prediction Center is expecting an elevated risk of severe storms Tuesday late afternoon and evening, mostly north of Richmond into D.C. and Baltimore, but also extending southwest to Lynchburg. The main threats will be damaging wind gusts, frequent lightning and very heavy rain, leading to localized flash flooding. Temperatures will hold steady this week in the low 90s, with only a brief “cool down” Wednesday (mid 80s).
