Another minor snow Friday, then drier and warmer pattern takes hold

Sunshine returns Wednesday but with frigid temperatures, not getting above freezing for most of the state. And while the rest of the week looks a bit warmer, mornings will still run quite cold. A weak system arriving Friday will bring another round of light snow to most of Virginia and Maryland, but again, a dusting to half an inch at the most.

After this weekend, the weather pattern flips back to a much milder one; 50s are on tap for much of next week, and we’ll finally catch a break from the unusually wet pattern we’ve been locked in for much of the winter so far.
